Fitness starts at home. What you eat is what you will look, just as what you sow is what you reap. Eat good food: eat fruits, vegetables, healthy grains, and don’t go for sweet and trite food.

I suffer panic attacks which has made me really conscious about my fitness and I have become addicted to jogging. It might sound odd but a lot of good has come out of it. My fans send letters saying they have taken up jogging because I do it.

It’s a big misconception that racing drivers aren’t fit. My trainer, who used to be a professional triathlete, equates the fitness level of the drivers to triathletes.

I watch a lot of football and you hardly ever see Premier League players go down with cramp. The fitness, the intensity of Premier League football is phenomenal.

Obviously fitness matters and at a certain age batsmen get the knack, batsmen get an idea how to get runs and I think he got the idea about 2-3 years ago how to get runs, what sort of shots to play and reading the situation.

I personally love to run outdoor fitness trails. I love the meditative value I get when out alone, challenging myself to run faster and higher.

When you get into the final week of the Tour de France, it becomes a different kind of race. As the distance and the fatigue really tell, that is when it becomes a proper test of everyone’s fitness.

I think it’d be wonderful if we could train young girls to be active in lots of ways and that they then wouldn’t have to age at the same rate that they would if they were not more active. In other words, more physical fitness and not just the sporty kind, but the yoga, which is really important.

It’s been a long road back to health and fitness for me. I am just glad to have been given the opportunity to do what I love most.

Bodybuilding is about building your body. Whether you do it to maintain your fitness levels, climb Everest, run the marathon, or be a competitive bodybuilder is up to you.

While I’ve got my health and fitness, I’m available… except for panto, of course. Too bloody much like hard work.

You can’t get rid of it with exercise alone. You can do the most vigorous exercise and only burn up 300 calories in an hour. If you’ve got fat on your body, the exercise firms and tones the muscles. But when you use that tape measure, what makes it bigger? It’s the fat!

I love dancing and outdoor activities. I like going to the gym, trying different routines of fitness – kickboxing, martial arts. I try to do a bit of everything so I make it exciting for myself and so there are no shockers for my body.

Sexy is attitude, but fitness for me is my dance. I dance two hours nearly every day. You break into good sweat, and it doesn’t even feel like exercise. Apart from that, I enjoy Pilates.
