My parents said that sitting at home playing video games all day won’t bring you anywhere in life.
I don’t believe in the so-called Olympic spirit. I speak from personal experience. When China hosted the Games, it failed to include the people. The event was constructed without regard for their joy.
I think computing power is ready to do 3D justice. It was great for shooters and racing games in the past, but I didn’t think it was right for strategy games.
Personally, I really enjoy sci-fi. I watch it, I read comic books, and I play video games. I love this kind of world, so to be able to work in it is a dream. I enjoy it. It’s all good.

There are no easy games.
Role-playing games are just an organic improvised space for storytelling.
I’ve been going to soccer games since I was a kid. For me, soccer brought people together. You didn’t need money to do it. You needed one ball and your friends. That’s what’s so amazing about the game and why it’s so global.
Sometimes games may not go the way you plan it, and sometimes you have to do the dirty, gritty stuff well – you have to tackle; you have to run. I learned that when I was young, and it is a good feeling to work hard for the team, to get the ball back.

There are so many YA novels being made because there is so much young talent that can bring it to life. J-Law was one of the first females to do it with ‘The Hunger Games,’ and it’s been going on for a while now. With J-Law, it was like, ‘Hey, I’m Katniss,’ and then, ‘Hey, I just won an Oscar!’
I just want to fit in and win games for my team.

I’m not very good at action games in general and find most action games to be hard.
2012 has been an extraordinary year for our country. We cheered our Queen to the rafters with the Jubilee, showed the world what we’re made of by staging the most spectacular Olympic and Paralympic Games ever and – let’s not forget – punched way above our weight in the medals table.
The Olympics were great, because you had to make the team, and then go to the games. Now, I don’t know, these guys today don’t want to do anything like that.
There is no problem that doesn’t have some underlying need for more optimism, stamina, resilience and collaboration. And games are, I believe, the best platform we have for providing that.
I grew up in Chicago, so I’ve always been a Bears fan. Dad used to take me to Bears games and Cubs games. My brother used to ride me over to Lake Forest College on his Honda Supersport and we’d watch the Bears practice. I remember those guys out there as monsters – they were the biggest things I’ve ever seen!
Personally, I really enjoy sci-fi. I watch it, I read comic books, and I play video games.
I think you need to understand games to write them. There’s a learning curve, just like there’s a learning curve in anything. It’s not precisely the same as film or television, but you’re using the same muscles.
With ‘Shinobi,’ we hope to make a film that honors the essence of the games.
In BJP & RSS, there are good people I respect, but some are playing dirty games.
As a co-chair of the State’s 2010 Olympics Task Force, I am working to make sure our border crossings are ready to handle the risks and benefits the Games will bring.
In the end, it’s about the teaching, and what I always loved about coaching was the practices. Not the games, not the tournaments, not the alumni stuff. But teaching the players during practice was what coaching was all about to me.
I’m pretty much an isolated person. I’d rather stay home and play video games.
If I feel I’m not influencing games, not scoring goals or making goals, then that’s the time I’d pack it in.
I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, so I did a lot of stuff where I entertained myself playing games, reading a lot, a lot of fantasy novel stuff.
I’m the biggest Blackhawks fan ever. I’ve been going to games since I was 6 years old.

Obviously I want to be there at the end every time, winning games for the team.
There are many museums dedicated to technology, artistic endeavors, music, and that sort of thing. From that perspective, I think games really do have a place as a kind of collaborative art or a synthesis of all these various aspects into a whole, and that, in itself, can be perceived as art.
You can’t just drop everything and focus on playing video games for a living.
I just push myself as hard as I can, in training and games.

I think I’ve really stepped outside the box in the way I try to train, eat, hydrate, the cognitive brain games I play on a daily or weekly basis to try to build up some durability within my body, within my brain, to be able to go out there and play at a high level at age 38.
I mean we all played as kids. You play games, you take on different characters, you imitate; the fun and the love of play has never left me.
Games are not so bad because the adrenalin keeps you going, but training on a daily basis when every time you move it hurts, that is a real battle.
The first few games that we played against some of the teams, the young guys, you know, want a stick sign or photo sign, and I think that they respect what I have achieved throughout my career.

It’s a story of little girls who are pressed into working in sweat shops in games, who spend all day doing repetitive grinding tasks like making shirts, which are then converted into gold and sold on eBay.
Mentally, I have to get my body and mind in the right place before I start the routine, but once into the zone, it’s like I turn on a switch. I envision myself doing the same thing for the Olympic Games.
Games bring another level out in you. There is no way you can train to the same intensity when you are playing a game. It is just impossible. Your head won’t allow you to do it. Because the adrenalin of a game and the importance of it steps it up to another level.
